Daily supervision and instruction on our working ranch. Instruction given on Western riding techniques in the fields and on trail to all riding abilities. Lead trail rides.
Supervision of 4-5 senior staff wranglers, help develop lesson plans, oversee "Ranch" and "Circle A Riders" programs
Interest in teaching horseback riding a must, experience preferred. Min. 21 years old., 10.5 - 15 week committment, 10-day paid staff training
All staff members will be trained in American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid, some will also have the opportunity for American Red Cross Lifeguarding at no additional cost.

Primarily, supervision, development, and providing positive learning experiences of a specific "skill" while assisting the camper achieve personal goals. Secondary responsibilities include actively participating with campers in living sections.

Plan, coordinate, and lead overnight, off-site adventure trips in Wisconsin and Michigan. Whitewater raft, rock climb, sea-kayak, canoeing, fishing
Requires a valid drivers license and driving of a 14-passenger bus or vehicle with trailer (training provided). Must be a current lifeguard or willing to obtain certification.
Must have an interest in adventure tripping with early teenage kids. Must have Hard physical skills (set up tent, camp stove,etc.) and Soft skills (teambuilding, cooperation) and be willing to teach on the trail.
10.5 - 15 week committment, 10-day paid staff training, American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid, Lifeguarding required and available at no cost.

The Road Less Traveled provides summer Community Service, Wilderness Adventure, and Global Perspectives trips for students ages 13-19. As a staff member you have the opportunity to lead a group of dedicated students in the teaching of wilderness skills, cultural and environmental awareness, and community service.
You will work with committed, experienced, and supportive staff members while backpacking, rock climbing, mountaineering, desert hiking, kayaking, and whitewater rafting.
Trip leaders begin their summer with 8 days of staff training in Colorado. Must be 21 years old, have experience working with teenagers and possess solid wilderness skills. Hold a valid drivers license and maintain a good driving record. Leaders must hold current WFR or WEMT certification. Personal interview mandatory.
